Operation Desert Storm opens with EF‑111A and EA‑6B crews jamming Iraqi communications, aided by EC‑130s. That first night, an EF‑111A Raven (“Spark‑Vark”) crew scored an unofficial kill by maneuvering an Iraqi Mirage F1 into the ground — the only aerial victory ever credited to the F‑111 family.
