This summer, AOC will launch the inaugural Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Awareness Week, taking place July 20-24, 2026. This annual observance is dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of electromagnetic warfare and electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO), highlighting their enduring impact on military operations, national security, and technological innovation.
For more than a century, control of the electromagnetic spectrum has influenced the outcome of conflicts around the world. From the earliest examples of radio interference and electronic deception to today's sophisticated, multi-domain spectrum operations, EW remains a critical component of modern defense and security.
