AOC Educational Foundation’s Corporate Advisory Council

The AOC Educational Foundation is developing a Corporate Advisory Council to serve in an advisory and information-exchange capacity to the AOC Foundation’s Board of Governors. Membership will consist of a representative designated from a corporation that has donated either an unrestricted or restricted gift of at least $10,000 on an annual basis to the Foundation.

Purpose

To build a closer relationship between like-minded corporations and the Foundation (and AOC Association members) who have a strong interest in electromagnetic warfare (EW) and spectrum operations internationally. This concept strongly supports the Foundation’s vision of fostering a global exchange of ideas, philosophies, and information among government, defense, industry, and academia, and spanning air, land, maritime, space, and cyber maneuver spaces.

Meetings

The Corporate Advisory Council will meet twice per year in a formal capacity but will also engage in smaller discussions on occasion with designated AOC Foundation’s Committee members as needed.

Membership Benefits

  • Special recognition on the AOC Foundation’s Web Page includes logo and link to their home page.
  • Private receptions at many of the Foundation’s and Association’s conventions, symposiums and summits.
  • The opportunity to be featured as a guest speaker/panelist at a future AOC Foundation event.
  • If interested, the opportunity to participate as an ad hoc member of one of the Foundation’s many subcommittees.
  • Advanced notice of new projects and programs the AOC Foundation will be launching with first right of refusal to support and participate.

Special Notes

  • The financial donation ($10,000 or more) must be a direct gift to the AOC Foundation and does NOT include exhibit space, sponsorships, or other types of financial transactions the corporation may have with the AOC Association.
  • The intent is not to divert current revenue from the AOC but to receive ADDITIONAL donations above and beyond a corporation’s current investment in supporting the Association.
  • Reminder – the Corporate Advisory Council is NOT part of the governance structure of the AOC Foundation but simply serves the BOG in an advisory capacity. They hold no authority within the organization but simply serve as a conduit for feedback and information. The advantage the Council members have is that they get to hear information/ideas first and can provide immediate feedback.
  • The benefits listed above are suggestions/samples and are not carved in stone. They still need to be discussed; we must be careful not to conflict with AOC’s Corporate Partners Program.
  • Anticipate a public launch and invitation/solicitation of corporations by mid-year 2025 (June/July). First “official meeting” would take place at our Annual International Symposium & Convention at the National Harbor Dec 9-11, 2025.
