Volunteers are critical to the success of AOC 2023! We are currently seeking qualified volunteers to assist with successfully executing the event.
All volunteers must be reliable, possess exceptional customer service skills, be friendly and interactive, be well-spoken and professional, and have basic knowledge and understanding of the AOC organization and event. Individuals should wear comfortable walking shoes and business attire. Volunteers are welcome from attendees, speakers and industry/exhibiting companies.
New for 2023, a Master Pass registration fee refund will be provided to volunteers working the following total number of hours:
- 5-9 Hours = 50% refund
- 10+ Hours = 100% refund
Each volunteer who is planning to attend sessions this year must register and pay for a Master Pass registration in advance. Once volunteer hours are confirmed post-event, a refund for the Master Pass will be processed provided all hours are fulfilled onsite. The refund will be processed within two (2) weeks of the event end date.
The Master Pass registration type includes access to Main Stage/General Sessions, Breakout and Technical Sessions Monday - Wednesday, Program Manager Briefing Series Sessions, the Sunday Welcome Reception, all exhibit hall functions including lunches and happy hours, and all recorded sessions and briefings as released by the speakers. Registration does not include access to any pre-/post-convention courses.
AOC does not reimburse travel expenses including food and beverage or hotel rooms.
Volunteer Roles
Registration Greeters: Registration is the first impression an attendee experiences at the AOC 2023. Registration volunteers will greet attendees, guide them to the appropriate registration counter and assist, as needed, with onsite registration kiosks. Volunteers will need to be able to stand on their feet for several hours.
Welcome Reception Set-Up and Support: No event goes off seamlessly without a crew working behind the scenes. Help us kick off AOC 2023 by volunteering your time during the Welcome Reception.
General Session Support: AOC 2023 will feature various Keynote and Spotlight Sessions on the Main Stage located in Hall A on the show floor. General Session support volunteers will be responsible for ensuring attendees remain in authorized areas.
VIP Escort: Support AOC in greeting Speakers and escorting them to designated locations such as the Speaker Lounge, or backstage of the Main Stage/General Session.
Speaker Lounge Monitor: Help us manage access to the Speaker Lounge in the exhibit hall and greet speakers upon arrival. Access is limited to speakers, guests of speakers, AOC staff/board, and guests of AOC staff/board. Check in speakers if needed and maintain the appearance of the space.
Hall A Entrance Monitor: This volunteer will remain seated outside of Hall A entrance, ensuring only permitted individuals access this Main Stage/General Session backstage area.
